NEWHALL – A woman held up a Subway restaurant at gunpoint late Wednesday, and escaped with about $200, county sheriff’s officials said. The robbery occurred just after 11 p.m. in the 24700 block of Valley Street, sheriff’s Lt. Diane Walker said. Two employees and a customer were present. “She entered the location with the gun out,” sheriff’s Detective Dan Stanley said Thursday. “She ordered the employees to give her the money from the register.” No one was injured. The suspect, described as a heavy-set woman in her early 20s, escaped the scene on foot. last_img
