Solicitor Kieron Dillon told Letterkenny District Court his client had over-indulged and didn’t know how to get home. The court heard Fahy is in fourth year studying medicine and had come top of his class in chemistry. He is also working part-time at Letterkenny General Hospital as part of his studies.Judge Paul Kelly said a medical student should know better than to get into such a state. “You work part-time at Letterkenny General Hospital so you are seeing first hand the effects of alcohol.“The accident and emergency unit is often full of people who are suffering from the affects of alcohol. If you carry on like this you will require the services of your colleagues in the hospital,” he warned.Fahy apologised to the court and said it was completely out of character for him.Judge Kelly adjourned the case to allow Fahy to pay €100 to the Donegal Hospice.  TRAINEE DOCTOR FOUND LYING DRUNK ON ROAD was last modified: October 1st, 2012 by StephenShare this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window)last_img
