first_imgNEIL LENNON WELCOMES JIM MCGUINNESS TO PARKHEADDONEGAL manager Jim McGuinness says he is very happy to combine his consultancy role at Celtic with managing Donegal next year.“There will be no impact in terms of the training last year compared to this year. There will be no drop-off in terms of my attendance at training and the input to the team,” said Jim.There had been fears that he would have to choose between the two roles, but that has been dismissed by both McGuinness and the county board. And he has received the full backing from Donegal’s players.Said Jim: “We have been on a great journey for the past two years. I think the world of them (the players). It would have been very difficult to walk away.“I’m thankful to Celtic for giving me the opportunity to combine the roles.“They have been very fair to me in terms of my role with Donegal and participation in all the training sessions. That flexibility made the decision a lot easier.” And friends have described as “nonsense” reports in the national media that the schedule would be hectic.“He can be at Carrickfin in half an hour and then the flight to Glasgow is 45 minutes,” said one close friend. JIM: CELTIC ROLE WILL HAVE NO IMPACT ON DONEGAL was last modified: November 10th, 2012 by BrendaShare this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window) Tags:JIM: CELTIC ROLE WILL HAVE NO IMPACT ON DONEGALlast_img
