REVEALED – McGUINNESS NOW USING CODENAMES TO CONFUSE OPPOSITION!

first_imgYet another bizarre method of confusing the opposition has been added to Jim McGuinness’ catalogue of mystique. It may appear a simple trick from the outside but the Donegal team have been working on a method of identification to confuse the teams they face. The players never call themselves by their real names during games but are now using names given to each player by the management. The players learn the names off by heart and are known only to the team and the management team.It is not known when the practise started but it was used in the recent Ulster Championship game against Tyrone. It is also uncertain if the same codenames will be used against Down in Cavan next Sunday. But then again nobody knows what to expect from Jim McGuinness and his backroom team at this stage!
