first_imgAll-Ireland tickets will be hard to come by yet again for Donegal fans.DONEGAL GAA fans have been left sickened in their hunt for golden All Ireland Final tickets.Touts are flogging tickets online for up to  €1,000, a Donegal Daily investigation has found.Even ticket sites demanded up to €1,400 for a pair of tickets last night at premium levels – with a shocking €350 for a seat in the Davin Stand. Global Tickets was offering seats right around Croke Park this Sunday, despite an official GAA ban on the re-sale of tickets. Those with the money to buy had the choice of picking as many tickets as they wanted – anywhere in the ground including the Hogan Stand. With so many genuine fans unhappy at the ticket issuing process, the sale of expensive tickets is sure to cause further upset.First the Donegal County Board was only given just over 16,000 tickets; while clubs did get 84 per cent of these tickets, they were given a huge number of terrace tickets. There have been rows in a number of clubs over the criteria used to give out tickets to members, coaches, mentors and club executives.Croke Park has vowed to tackle touts and sites flogging expensive tickets.“Thousands of genuine GAA supporters can’t get All-Ireland final tickets so we don’t want some unscrupulous people who get their hands on them, by whatever means, making a killing on the black market,” said Alan Milton, GAA head of media relations.“We bought tickets from unofficial sources last year, checked where they came from and cancelled contracts for premium and other long-term deals. We’ll do the same again this year.“Some premium ticket holders came to us last year and provided us with evidence where they knew that tickets had been sold on the black market. “If the GAA ascertains that a ticket has been bought on the black market, it will be cancelled, leaving the purchaser locked out of Croke Park.“The message is clear. Don’t buy on the black market, or you may not get in, and don’t sell on the black market because we’re tracking it and will take action against those involved,” he added.COUNTDOWN TO CROKER: FANS SICKENED AS TICKET TOUTS DEMAND €1,000 FOR FINAL TICKETS was last modified: September 17th, 2014 by John2Share this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window)Tags:all-irelanddonegaldonegal county boardGAAKerryrowsterrace ticketstoutslast_img
