first_imgRuth BaileyRuth Lucille Bailey died on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at her home in Wellington at the age of 81.Ruth was born the daughter of Irvin and Stella Lucile (Wilson) Brill on Friday, June 16, 1933 in Isabel.On July 15, 1954, Ruth and Willard “Bill” Bailey were united in marriage in El Dorado. Together they celebrated 61 years of marriage before his passing in May of 2013. She was a woman of great faith that was able to share the love of Christ wherever she went. Ruth and her family lived abroad for over 29 years during which time she witnessed to countless people internationally. Closer to home, Ruth was a very active member of the First Assembly of God Church having taught Ladies Bible Study and serving as both a deacon and board member. She is also the president of the Wellington Women’s Aglow as well as serving on the South Kansas Aglow area team. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Burnett and her husband Larry of Salina, daughter, Ronda White and her husband Jo of Pagosa Springs, Colorado, sister, Margaret George of Tulia, Texas, brother, Ray Brill and his wife Kay of Udall, sister Donna Daniels of Udall, brother, Robert Brill and his wife Patsy of Udall, granddaughter, Stephanie Trent and her wife Jessica of Scottsdale, Arizona, grandson, Tim Burnett of Springfield, Missouri, grandson, Matthew Trent of Port Aransas, Texas, granddaughter, Lisa Burnett of Salina and Stacie Burnett of Lawrence.She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Irvin Dean Brill and her husband, Willard Bailey.Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Monday, July 21st, 2014 with family present from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.Funeral services for Ruth will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 22nd, 2014 at First Assembly of God Church, 326 West Botkin, Wellington.Memorials have been established in her loving memory with the First Assembly of God Church, Wellington or the Wellington Women’s Aglow chapter.
