VALENCIA – Musical stars will come out Sunday night for a concert titled “Go the Distance” to benefit their colleague, violinist David Ewart, whose home was destroyed in a fire just before Christmas. Christian recording artist Steve Amerson, dubbed “America’s tenor,” will headline the 7 p.m. show in the College of the Canyons Performing Arts Center. Amerson will sing the title song “Go the Distance” from the movie “Hercules.” Local resident Leslie Garman, a Ewart family friend, will join Amerson in the duet “The Prayer.” Studio singer Randy Crenshaw will sing “You Raised Me Up” and “When I Get Where I am Going.” Local resident Steve Lively will add “As If I Were the Only One to Love.” last_img read more
