I can’t even begin to try to imagine how many hours of work by so many people here at Drake to bring in a great group of student-athletes that represent the kind of young man that we look for at Drake University. These young men want to do something great with their lives and want to be at a great educational environment and be a part of our football program to do great things on the football field,” said Fox. “We added 28 guys today in addition to the one that we signed in December. Three of them are from the local area, Johnny Hill who signed in December from Bondurant and then Azri Jackson from Ankeny High School and Eian O’Brien from Des Moines Roosevelt High School both committed today.” Johnny Hill, a Bondurant, Iowa native who committed in December, is joined by 28 student-athletes that will continue their academic and athletic careers hailing from 12 states; including California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin. Seventeen of the newcomers are projected as offensive players while 12 are defenders.last_img
