Much was expected of the Scotland international following his £25million move from Parkhead but a succession of injuries has severely hampered his progress. The 22-year-old was still recovering from a double hernia operation when he completed his move to north London and had to wait until late October to make his Premier League debut. Tierney made a positive first impression, particularly during the cup competitions, but is yet to feature under Arteta following the shoulder injury he picked up against West Ham in December.
